It is best not to use waxes or creams as these encourage the build up over time of dust, grease and grime. NEVER use silicone-based furniture polish such as Mr Sh__n. These give a false shine but make it difficult to apply new finish coats to the furniture.

In climates, like that of Coonabarabran, (where there can be conditions of extreme heat, cold or dryness) it is very important that the furniture is fully sealed. It should be sealed inside, outside, underneath and on top to prevent warping, cracking or splitting.
